Indian Food Fact
Curry is not a spice. Many people believe curry is an Indian spice. That is a myth.
There is a plant that grows wild in India that produces curry leaves, or, in Hindi,
"meetha neem" or "kadhi" leaves. The leaves resemble miniature lemon leaves and
are used to season certainbut not allIndian dishes. Curry is any dish
cooked with a blend of spices (masala) and with a sauce. A dish cooked with the
same blend of spices without the sauce is not a curry.
